सिविल सर्विसेज परीक्षा (सीएसई) भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (आईएएस), भारतीय विदेश सेवा (आईएफएस), भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (आईपीएस) सहित भारतीय सरकार के विभिन्न सिविल सेवाओं में भर्ती के लिए संघ लोक सेवा आयोग द्वारा आयोजित भारत में एक राष्ट्रव्यापी प्रतियोगी परीक्षा है. यह दो चरणों में की जाती है - एक प्रारंभिक परीक्षा जिसमें दो बहुविकल्पीय प्रकार के प्रश्न (सामान्य अध्ययन और योग्यता परीक्षण) शामिल होते हैं, और एक मुख्य परीक्षा जिसमें पारंपरिक (निबंध) प्रकार के नौ प्रश्नपत्र शामिल होते हैं. इसके अलावा एक व्यक्तित्व परीक्षण (साक्षात्कार) आयोजित किया जाता है।
Civil Services Examination (CSE) is a nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) among others. It is conducted in two phases - a preliminary examination consisting of two objective-type papers (general studies and aptitude test), and a main examination consisting of nine papers of conventional (essay) type, followed by a personality test (interview).
